Upcoming Vacation Camps:
We have scheduled a vacation camps to help parents looking for something productive to do for their kids during the February winter break(Feb 21-25) also April 18-22. We are still locking in the location, but it looks like it will once again be in the Ross/Woodward School off of exit #8 Interstate 91 in New Haven. The kids will be taught the value of team work, nutrition, and goal creation through athletics. Our kids will receive a camp T-shirt and the opportunity to win other prizes through the week. Production Classes:
Our video production class is headed by an Emmy Award Winning instructor and had been a huge success so far this year. Our kids are preparing a project that will allow them to create the story, film it, edit it and produce a quality video. Last year several projects were featured on CT PBS. SAT Prep Classes:
Once again we are preparing our kids for the future on and off the playing fields. We are currently accepting applications for our SAT prep course in preparation for the next SAT test given in May . This course will prepare the young adults for the college entry tests in a personalized and professional way. Practice tests, review sessions and mentoring will be offered as part of the class. Summer Camps:
As always we are offering our summer long camps. They will once again will take place in Hamden and New Haven. They offer the kids a chance to interact with their peers in a controlled, educational and sport driven environment while learning about self esteem, creating goals and exercise through basketball. More details to follow as we get closer to the summer but this year we have guest speakers from all walks of life to speak to and mentor the kids. As always, Skills Camp welcome your donations. Many of our programs are funded by private contributions and some are funded by Government Grants As the Government tightens it's belt, our need for your support is greater now than ever. Please contact us about investing in our children. All contributions are 100% tax deductible. Please help.
*Skills camp membership fee is $100 per year and entitles you to the discount price for all camps and events. It also grants you access to the after-school programs.
